Searsmont Town Library We are a small library in rural Maine.

Yes, we have books, magazines, DVDs, outrageously fast internet... but we also have a concert series and singular events, and most importantly, we provide a place for people to be, to discover, to meet and laugh.

Community Dance & Potluck - Today! It's a perfect day to get together out on the Community Center lawn and learn some dances with Belfast Flying Shoes and the All-Comers Band. BFS caller Pat will call and teach traditional old New England group dances to one and all. Easy to learn! If you are a musician or can bang on something, join the All-Comers Band led by John Pranio (fiddle) and Toki Oshima (guitar). We'll share a potluck meal after dancing (around 5pm) - bring something to share.

We wrapped up the final Live Outside the Library concert this past weekend. A big thank you to: YOU for being an amazing audience, the artists for sharing their music, and to our sponsors - the Onion Foundation, the Friends of Searsmont Library, and the library's Board of Trustees - for making all of the events free and for getting the artists paid fairly.
