As we celebrate Labor Day, we’re reminded that the work we do matters—but so does taking time to pause, breathe, and recharge.
For foster parents, caregivers, caseworkers, and everyone who pours into children and families, it can be easy to keep giving without making space for yourself. But you don’t have to run on empty to make a difference.
Rest allows us to return with more patience, more compassion, and more capacity to care.
So this Labor Day, give yourself permission to slow down. Take the nap. Enjoy the meal. Spend time with the people who fill your cup. Put down the to-do list for a little while.
**You deserve rest, too.**
We hope your Labor Day brings you a little peace, a little joy, and the reminder that caring for yourself is part of caring for others. 🌿
