We wanted to say thank you to Tim Miller and his team with Texas Equusearch for their assistance on a case today.

Also thank you to the Austin County Sheriff drone team for helping on two separate missing person cases this week. Both cases were positive outcomes with the individuals being located safely.

And Prasek's for allowing us to use their parking lot for a command post.

The Sealy Police Department is working an active missing person case. Please be on the lookout for Ian Dasilva, H/M, age 29, pictures attached to this post. He was last seen at approximately 1pm on 6/4/2026 in the area of FM3538 & Rexville Road here in Sealy TX and left walking. He was wearing the black shirt and grey mechanic style pants seen in the attached photo. If located or you have information please contact us at 979-885-2913.

PD units will be in the area actively searching the area.

***CASE UPDATE***
On January 4, 2025, at approximately 3:38 p.m., Sealy Police officers were dispatched to the Super 8 Motel, located at 267 Gebhardt Road, in reference to an aggravated robbery. Following an investigation, detectives identified DeShawn Williams as the suspect involved in the offense. An arrest warrant was subsequently obtained.
DeShawn Williams was taken into custody on January 7, 2025, and has remained in the Austin County Jail pending trial.

On June 2, 2026, Williams accepted a plea agreement and was sentenced to 25 years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ).

The Sealy Police Department would like to thank the officers, investigators, prosecutors, and all agencies involved in bringing this case to a successful conclusion. This sentence reflects the commitment of law enforcement and the criminal justice system to holding violent offenders accountable and helping keep our community safe.
