Today, Seal Beach pauses to remember and honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the brave first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who demonstrated unmatched courage in the face of tragedy. May we continue to carry forward their legacy of unity, resilience, and service to one another.

Thank you for joining us this evening at Fire Station 44 for a special 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony hosted by Seal Beach City Rotary and OCFA Division 1

BEACH PARKING LOT CLOSURES
Out of an abundance of caution and to protect life and property during the anticipated elevated surf and coastal flooding conditions, the City of Seal Beach is temporarily closing the 8th Street and 10th Street beach parking lots through Wednesday morning.
The Seal Beach Pier is NOT closed and remains open at this time.
The City continues to closely monitor forecasts, tides and coastal conditions in coordination with the National Weather Service and Marine Safety.
The parking lot closures are a proactive precautionary measure, and conditions will continue to be evaluated throughout the event.
Please use caution near the shoreline, obey all posted warnings, and follow directions from Marine Safety personnel.
We appreciate the community’s cooperation as we work to keep everyone safe.

September is National Preparedness Month, and this year it's extra timely. NOAA is tracking a strengthening El Niño headed into fall and winter, which could mean heavier storms, more rain, and unpredictable weather for a lot of us. Now's the time to check your emergency kit, review your family's plan, and make sure your home is ready before the season shifts. Learn more at: https://sealbeachpd.com/emergency-preparedness/

Last week, we celebrated the installation of our third beach accessibility mat at 1st Street. We also have a new power track wheelchair as well! The mat and wheelchair were made possible by grants from and CA State Coastal Conservancy.

These mats make a huge difference for people who use wheelchairs, those with balance or mobility challenges, and parents pushing strollers and wagons. 💙

Big thanks to everyone who joined us for our ribboncutting ceremony, including Seal Beach City Council Members, Orange County Coastkeeper, CA State Coastal Conservancy, LA28 Olympic & Paralympic Games, Triumph Foundation, Congressman Dave Min, and the offices of Supervisor Janet Nguyen, Tony Strickland, and Assemblymember Diane Dixon.

Come try it out for yourself! We'd love to see you enjoying the beach!
