Meet Blitz! This playful pup with cookies-and-cream paws is looking for a home.

His name means “lightning” in German, and it suits his quick feet. He may be the smallest pup in the group, but he keeps up during playtime. Once he’s tired out, he’s happy to curl up in a lap.

Blitz enjoys meeting new people, plays well with the other pups at the shelter, and is already learning “sit.” He’s also been gentle with his toys and bed.

We're looking for the owners of three pets found on Saturday, September 5, 2026:

- *REUNITED* A large, adult male dog with a brindle coat and green “Heaflex” collar. He was found on North Heron Drive in the Seascape subdivision. He is not neutered, and we found no microchip.
- A medium-sized, spayed female dog with a gray-and-white coat and blue collar. The Seabrook Police Department brought her in. We found a microchip, but it is not registered.
- A male cat with a white coat and brown stripes. We found him on the hike & bike trail. He is not neutered, and we did not find a microchip.

If you recognize one of these pets, please call Seabrook Animal Control at (281) 291-5644.

Reminder: All pets in the City of Seabrook must be microchipped. A microchip can help reunite you with your pet only when the registration information is current. Call Seabrook Animal Control to schedule your pet's microchip appointment.

True to her name, Ms. Moxie is confident, affectionate, and full of personality. She is ready for a home where she can shine.

This social cat knows how to ask for attention and returns it with gentle head bumps and happy purrs. She would thrive with someone who enjoys a talkative companion and can give her plenty of one-on-one time.

If you are ready for a loving, devoted friend with plenty of character, Moxie may be the cat for you.

Mr. Diggory’s name means “lost one” or “strayed,” but this sweet pup is ready to find his way home.

As the shelter's youngest pup, Mr. Diggory has a bright smile, a loving heart, and a strong spirit. He loves giving kisses, making new friends, and greeting every stranger like someone he has known forever.

He is friendly with dogs and cats and is looking for a person or family who can give him a safe place to grow. Could Mr. Diggory find his way home with you?

Today is Ginger Cat Appreciation Day, and we’re celebrating with a New Leash on Life update about Tater, formerly known as Franklin.

Tater arrived at the Seabrook Animal Shelter as a tiny kitten in mid-April. He was added to our adoption listings on May 16, 2026, and found his home just two days later.

His adopter says Tater was shy at first and needed time to settle in. Now, he’s a sweetheart who loves his cat tree, spends his days looking out the window, and sleeps stretched out on his back across the bed.

Did you know? Ginger cats always have tabby markings, and most are male. In the past four years, our shelter has helped many orange cats find homes, and only one was female.

Happy Ginger Cat Appreciation Day, Tater. We’re so glad you found a loving home. 🐈

It’s National Dog Day!

These happy pups are making the most of our brand-new play yard, but there’s still one thing missing: families to call their own.

There are plenty of ways to celebrate National Dog Day. Spend a little extra time with your own four-legged friend, help spread the word about shelter pets, or consider opening your home to a dog in need.

If adoption is right for your family, come meet the dogs waiting for their next chapter at the Seabrook Animal Shelter. You might just find your new best friend!

Meet Cecily! 🐾

Cecily came to us a little guarded, but she is slowly learning that life indoors can be safe, comfortable and full of kindness. After spending time on the streets, she is discovering what it means to have a place where she can relax and simply be herself.

Cecily is a mix of shy and a little spicy, and she will need a patient home that gives her time and space to build trust. Once she feels comfortable, her sweet personality begins to shine through.

She is also a champ at using her litter box! We do not believe Cecily has lived indoors before, so she is still getting used to her new surroundings. Right now, she prefers staying closer to the ground rather than exploring higher places.

Cecily is looking for someone who will give her the time she needs to feel safe, settle in and become the wonderful cat we know she can be. ❤️

Meet Stelios! 🐾

Stelios is a handsome young dog with a calm personality and plenty of love to share. He may not have nonstop puppy energy, but he is always happy to greet new people and make a new friend.

He has also proven to be quite the gentleman in his kennel, keeping his space tidy and treating his blankets and food bowls with care.

The name Stelios is Greek and is associated with strength and stability, a fitting name for this brave, playful, and affectionate pup. Despite finding himself at the shelter, Stelios continues to greet each day with a loving spirit.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will be by your side, Stelios would love the chance to meet you. Stop by the Seabrook Animal Control & Adoption Center and see if he’s the one for you!

Is your pet’s microchip information up to date? 🐾

A microchip can help reunite a lost pet with their family, but only if the contact information connected to it is current.

If you know which company your pet’s microchip is registered with, contact that company directly to verify or update your phone number, address and other information. Updates are typically completed online or over the phone by the pet owner.

Not sure which company your pet’s microchip is from? We can help! Bring your pet to the Seabrook Animal Control & Adoption Center during normal business hours, and our staff can scan the chip and provide the name and phone number of the associated microchip company. Veterinary offices can also scan pets for a microchip at no charge.

Good to know: Seabrook residents are required to microchip their pets under Section 10-91 of the City’s Code of Ordinances.

Need to have your pet microchipped? Seabrook Animal Control & Adoption Center offers microchipping by appointment. Proof of current vaccinations is required at the appointment.
