Wonderful things for improving North Tonawanda. Thank you to the employees of the city who work so hard for us.

Incredibly excited to announce that North Tonawanda is a recipient of three NYS grants through the Consolidated Funding Application. Thanks to Governor Kathy Hochul, Empire State Development, NYS Canal Corporation, Western New York Regional Council, and New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, these funds will assist us in making these projects possible.

Thank you also to Community Development Director Laura Wilson and various departments for working together on this!

Thank you everyone who supported me during this years campaign. However the election didn't go the way we had hoped. I have sat in the hard seats of Council meetings for years. I was very happy to see that 2700 people came out in the 3rd Ward to vote. That is a huge number. Just shy of 6500 for the total City. If 1% of the people come to a City Council meeting in the future would be the biggest win.

I enjoyed my day at the polls with Irena, it's a memory worth having made. Meeting more people of NT and hearing what they had to say.

This upcoming years will be ust as many in the past the sun comes up and work continues. A great deal of money was spent by the opposing side; people will see what they bought. I'm very proud of our Team that came forward to represent North Tonawanda and truly thankful to those who worked so hard to support us.

Seeing where the Council will make the cuts to the Budget, is next.

Hi everyone!

Happy Election Day!

My name is Darlene Bolsover, and I am running for Third Ward Alderwoman against the current (and appointed) alderman, Joe Marranca III.

I am a lifelong North Tonawanda resident and homeowner, a former U.S. Army Staff Sergeant with 14 years of military experience, earning many service medals, including Connelly Award, I'm a retired nurse who has worked in the field since I was 18. Outside of my professional life, I’ve been married to my husband, Andrew, for 30 years, with whom I share three adult children and a beautiful two-year-old granddaughter.

If you’ve ever attended a Common Council meeting, you’ve probably seen me there, as I rarely miss them. (If you’ve never participated in a Common Council meeting, I highly recommend sitting in on one!) I have been a vocal advocate for N.T. at these meetings for many years. I am a member of the New York Collision for Open Government, the North Tonawanda Financial Committee, the Charter Review Commission, the Chamber of Commerce, the VFW, and the American Legion. When my children were in school, I was the president of NTMS at Spruce School. I was treasurer for seven years and was heavily involved in their school activities and functions. I have been an active member of the N.T. community my entire life. I was representing the Twin Cities at sixteen as Canal Fest Queen.

I believe in transparency. That government works for the people. Residents have the right to know their representatives. I believe in accountability. I think that all elected officials work for the residents and should be held accountable by the residents for effective and productive government.

I believe in responsible spending. The City’s money is *our* money. I believe in fair and equal taxation with 100% entitled benefits to seniors and veterans.

And finally, I believe that, with your help, we can win today! Your vote does matter. As little as 10 minutes of your time can and will make the future of the next two years.
