Main Street and the area in front of the school are 15 mph for a reason.

Kids are kids. They aren’t watching traffic like adults do. They assume the grown-ups behind the wheel will see them and stop.

If you’re running late, your child will still be there when you arrive. Nothing you’re rushing to is worth risking a child’s life.

There is no excuse for speeding down Main Street or past the school.

Slow down and pay attention. The next child crossing the street could be yours.

Here is the red flag: the U.S. country code is +1 (like when you dial 1-402-123-4567). The number shown here is +63 which is the Philippines.

They will not always be this obvious with the country code. In the world we live in right now it is safest to assume anyone asking for money out of the blue is not legitimate.

Stay alert. Stay safe.
