❤️🤍💙 We Remember. We Honor. We Pray. 🙏🇺🇸

Today, UCP of Northeastern Pennsylvania joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the nearly 3,000 souls who perished that day, the first responders who courageously ran toward danger, and all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

May we keep the victims, their families, the survivors, and our first responders in our thoughts and prayers today and always.

We will never forget. ❤️🤍💙

🧸 Sharing the Power of Play! 💙

We were happy to welcome Scranton Counseling Center's Early Intervention Service Coordinators to UCP of NEPA’s new Children’s Center yesterday.

During their visit, the Service Coordinators learned more about the many ways our Lekotek program supports children and families through the power of play. From individualized child and family play sessions to playgroups and social groups, Lekotek creates opportunities for children of all abilities to learn, grow, connect and — most importantly — have fun!

Thank you to the Scranton Counseling Center team for spending time with us and learning more about the resources available to children and families throughout our community. We appreciate the opportunity to connect with fellow professionals who share our commitment to helping children thrive! 💙

Tech Tuesday: When Technology Creates Possibilities 💚

What if a 3D printer could do more than create a cool gadget? What if it could help a child move, explore, and experience greater independence? 💚

This week’s story from WNEP-TV shows just how powerful assistive technology can be. A Danville-area man used 3D printing and his own ingenuity to create a custom mobility chair for a local child, turning an idea into something that can make a real difference in a young life.

It’s a wonderful reminder that assistive technology doesn’t always have to be complicated or expensive. Sometimes, it starts with a creative idea, the right technology, and someone willing to find a way.

At UCP of NEPA, we believe technology should open doors—not create barriers. Our Assistive Technology Resource Center (ATRC) helps people discover technology and devices that can promote greater independence, participation and quality of life.

💡 Technology has the power to turn “What if?” into “What’s possible?”
