The ACCD extends our deepest sympathies to the family of our beloved Board Member, Tommy Long. Tommy served on the Allen County Conservation District Board for 29 years and was the current Secretary. He had perfect attendance at board meetings for many years. He served Allen County in several roles over his lifetime and is loved and respected by the community. He will be dearly missed!

Celebrate the life of Thomas Long and join others in sharing memories, stories, and condolences.

The ACCD will be giving away free tree seedlings Thursday, April 2nd, starting at 8:00am at our office at 77 Woodland Circle Drive. There will be Eastern Redbud, White Oak, Persimmon, Pecan, Flowering Dogwood, Paw Paw, Black Walnut, Sugar Maple, Northern Red Oak and White Pine.

The ACCD is offering a $1000 Scholarship to 2 Allen County High School Seniors going to college in the Fall to major in Agriculture or Conservation. Applications must be turned in to our office by March 27th. Call 270-237-3164 for more info.

The ACCD is having sign-ups for a 2026 Local Fencing Cost Share Program, until January 28th.

If you were approved for the 2025 Local Fencing Cost Share, you will not be eligible for this 2026 program.

This is a 50% cost share not to exceed $3000. Cost share is only for new fencing materials (including gates and panels). You must have a farm number in Allen County.

For an application, call 270-237-3164 or come by the office at 77 Woodland Circle Drive.

The ACCD is having 2026 Wildlife Food Plot sign-ups now until January 30th. The maximum amount you can receive is $600 and you must have a farm # in Allen Co. Everything planted has to remain for wildlife. For questions call 270-237-3164.

🚨CAIP Producers🚨 If you are purchasing anything for the Large Animal category, you must have a current BQCA number. You can get certified Thursday, October 16th at 6:00pm at The Cattleman’s Meeting at Young Farms.

The deadline to turn in a CAIP application is Wednesday, August 13th. Also, you have to turn in a copy of your photo ID and a utility bill.
