The Town of Wheatland Recreation Department is looking for a dependable and friendly individual to help provide transportation services for senior citizens to and from the Senior Center.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, values punctuality, and wants to make a positive impact in the community.
📍 Position Summary
The Recreation Assistant will safely drive an 8‑passenger van, ensuring seniors arrive comfortably, on time, and with care.
🕒 Schedule
• Monday, Wednesday & Thursday
• Morning: 9:15 AM – 10:15 AM and/or
• Afternoon: 1:45 PM – 2:45 PM
💵 Pay Rate
• $18.26 per hour
✅ Responsibilities
• Safely transport senior participants to and from the Senior Center
• Operate an 8‑passenger van following all traffic and safety guidelines
• Assist passengers during pick‑up and drop‑off as needed
• Maintain a courteous, patient, and professional attitude
📋 Qualifications
• Valid New York State driver’s license (CDL not required)
• Clean driving record
• Reliable, timely, and responsible
• Enjoy working with senior citizens and the public
