3RD Annual Creatures Great & Small Festival at Scottsville Pavilion Sept 21
A dozen animal rescue and welfare groups from throughout Central Virginia will be gathering at the Scottsville Pavilion on Sunday September 21 between 12 noon and 4 pm to exhibit rescued animals available for adoption or fostering, and to educate the public regarding the groups' lifesaving programs. This Third Annual Creatures Great & Small Festival will showcase not only cats, dogs, puppies and kittens but also horses, donkeys, bunnies, pigs, goats and more.
The Festival will feature an ongoing Blessing of the Animals (12:30-3pm), a mega raffle to benefit the exhibiting groups, a Best-Exhibit-of-Festival contest to be decided by attendee ballot, and live music (2pm-3:30pm). There will be numerous opportunities for animal selfie photos and meet-and-greets with miniature horses, baby donkeys, bunnies and many other creatures. And several food trucks will be offering treats to eat.
Organized by the James River Good Works Group, the Third Annual Creatures Great & Small Festival is free, and pets are welcome. For more info, email [email protected]
