The Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board has unanimously approved a resolution calling for a $375 million special bond election on November 3, 2026.

Attend a Community Informational Town Hall on Thursday, Sept. 17, at Saguaro High School from 6-7 p.m. to learn about the proposed investments.

The proposed bond program includes investments in:

• Learning Environment Improvements
• Technology Enhancements
• Site Lifecycle Renovations
• School Safety & Security
• Transportation
• Administrative Capital Improvements

*Bond funds may only be used for voter-approved capital projects and cannot be used for teacher salaries, employee benefits, or day-to-day operating expenses.

IMPORTANT DATES:

• Voter Registration Deadline: October 5, 2026
• Election Day: November 3, 2026

Mental health matters, Sabercats! 🐾

A huge shoutout to our amazing social worker, Karen Beatty, for putting together a Mental Health Fair that brought 18 mental health community partners + the City of Scottsdale to our quad during lunch! Our students had the opportunity to connect, learn about resources, ask questions, and explore ways to support their mental health and well-being.

And we have to give our Sabercats a HUGE shoutout, too! 🐾 Vendors shared that our students were some of the most polite, respectful, and engaging students they’ve worked with at any school they’ve visited. 👏 We couldn’t be prouder!

Thank you, Karen, and thank you to all of our community partners for investing in the well-being of our students. 💛

Walk through the quad and view our Chains of Hope 💛🖤 Saguaro Bring Change 2 Mind club is offering students the opportunity to fill out a chain with a positive message for Teen Su***de Prevention and Awareness month. If you fill out 10 chains you’re entered into a drawing for a free Nee Doh!

Make sure to come to the quad tomorrow 9/10 at lunch for our Mental Health Fair. There will be 18 vendors with the City of Scottsdale community partners.

🏀 Growing the game. Building community. Leading the way. 🐾

Our Saguaro Boys Basketball team spent some time on the court with our K–8 students for a fun-filled basketball clinic! From learning new skills to sharing plenty of laughs, our Sabercats showed what it means to be leaders both on and off the court. 🖤💛

We love seeing our older students inspire the next generation of Sabercats!

Saguaro High School senior Alain Gomez-Gudiño has been named the 2025–26 Gatorade Arizona Baseball Player of the Year! ⚾

A key leader on Saguaro’s 4A State Championship team, Alain posted an impressive .455 batting average with six home runs and 35 RBIs this season while earning 4A State Title Game MVP honors.

His success extends beyond the field.

Alain maintained a 3.47 GPA, has signed to continue his baseball career at the University of South Carolina, and gives back to the community through his volunteer work with the Scottsdale Miracle League, which helps provide baseball opportunities for individuals with disabilities and special healthcare needs.

Congratulations, Alain! We’re proud of all you’ve accomplished and look forward to following your journey at the next level.
