Shabbat Shalom from Gesher!

As we head into the long weekend, we wish all of our Gesher friends and families a peaceful Shabbat and a safe, relaxing Labor Day weekend. We hope you find a little extra time to rest, recharge and enjoy the people and things that bring you joy.

Please note that the Gesher offices will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. We’ll be back Tuesday!

Looking for tickets to attend High Holy Day services?

If you would like to attend Rosh Hashanah or Yom Kippur services but don’t currently have a place to go, Gesher may be able to help.

We are reaching out to synagogues and community partners to help connect Gesher members and families with High Holy Day services. Availability and locations will depend on the requests we receive and the tickets available.

If you’re interested, please contact the Gesher office at 480-629-5343 or email [email protected] and let us know you’re looking for High Holy Day tickets.

We’ll do our best to help make a connection.

We found our rhythm at the MIM!

Gesher members had a fantastic time exploring the Musical Instrument Museum last weekend, including a special hands-on percussion session where everyone got a chance to make some music of their own on African djembe drums!

From drumming together to discovering instruments and music from around the world, it was an afternoon filled with new experiences, friendship and plenty of smiles.

A big thank you to the Musical Instrument Museum and to the generous donor who made this special outing possible for our members.

Shabbat Shalom!
As we look ahead to the High Holidays, it’s a wonderful time to think about the people in our lives and send wishes for a sweet New Year.

This year, Gesher’s High Holiday card features beautiful original artwork created by Jared B., a Gesher member since 2006! Send a card to friends, family, colleagues, or anyone you’d like to remember this holiday season. Inside, each card includes a Shana Tova greeting and space for a short personal message from you.

Cards are $11 each and fully tax-deductible, with proceeds supporting Gesher’s programs and services for children and adults with disabilities. Simply give us your recipient list, addresses, and personal greetings, and we’ll take care of the rest, including mailing the cards directly to each recipient.

To order, call Gesher at 480-629-5343 or email [email protected]

Send a meaningful greeting, showcase the talents of a Gesher member, and support Gesher at the same time. What a sweet way to welcome the New Year!

Shabbat Shalom from all of us at Gesher!

Friendship makes life better.
At Gesher, our programs may bring people together, but it’s the friendships formed along the way that make so many of those experiences special. Friends make us laugh, cheer us on, share our adventures, and give us a place to belong. This Shabbat, we’re grateful for the friendships that have grown through Gesher and for all the moments, big and small, that friends share together.
Here’s to good friends and good times. Shabbat Shalom!

Today is National Nonprofit Day!

At Gesher, every gift helps create opportunities for individuals with disabilities to learn, connect, participate, and belong. And when we say every gift matters, we mean it. Here are just a few examples of what your support can make possible:

$18 can provide museum admission for a Gesher member.

$50 can provide one session of individualized tutoring for a student with a learning disability.

$100 can help provide the supplies, activities, and support that make Gesher’s inclusive social programming possible.

And your impact doesn’t have to be a one-time gift. A recurring monthly donation provides dependable support throughout the year, helping Gesher plan programs, provide educational support, and create more opportunities for members of the disability community.

Whether it’s $18 today, $18 each month, or another amount that is meaningful to you, your gift helps make the work of Gesher possible.

Thank you to everyone who supports our mission and helps us continue doing what we do. https://gesherdr.org/donate
