Today during our Title I WIN time, some of our first graders are reading a story about Louis Braille, the inventor of braille, and learning how his invention opened up a whole new way for people who are blind to read and communicate.

Ms. Samantha’s son was kind enough to send in some braille for us to explore and try out! The kids were so excited to feel the dots, look at the patterns, and see if they could figure out what they were saying.

What a fun way to bring our learning to life! ❤️📚

It’s time to head down the hall and meet our Third Grade Team! 📚✨

These three teachers are ready to make third grade a year full of learning, growing, laughter, and plenty of “aha!” moments! 🧠✏️📖

From mastering multiplication to becoming stronger readers, exploring science, and discovering just how much they’re capable of, our third graders are in for an amazing year! 🌟

We are so thankful for the dedication, creativity, and heart that Mrs. Bagwell, Mrs. Brooks, and Mrs. Reynolds bring to our school each day. We know they’re going to help our Braves have an incredible third-grade year! 🤍💙

🎨💥 COLOR BLAST FRI-YAY! 💥🎨

Tomorrow was supposed to be our Color Blast Fri-YAY to celebrate how CLOSE we were getting to our fundraising goal… but then something AMAZING happened! 👀

After our students had already headed home for the day, we discovered that our Braves had officially MET OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL! 🎉🎉🎉

We are SO excited to see their faces and hear their reactions tomorrow when they find out that all of their hard work, sharing, and fundraising paid off! 🥹❤️

And the best part? They’ll already be decked out in their brightest, boldest colors to celebrate! 🎨🌈

We couldn’t have done this without our incredible students, families, staff, and everyone who donated or shared a fundraising page. YOU made this happen!

🌈📚 Our students are making their way through the Reading Rainbow in the library!

Each band of the rainbow represents a different genre, giving students the opportunity to explore a variety of books and discover new favorites along the way. Our wonderful librarian, Miss Brittany, teaches students about each genre, helps them find books that spark their interest, and verifies that they’ve read them. 📖✨

We are so grateful to Miss Brittany for discovering and implementing this wonderful initiative! Her creativity and dedication are helping our students become confident, enthusiastic readers while encouraging them to step outside their usual favorites and explore new genres. 💙🌈
