(Court Appointed Special Advocate), is a non-profit organization that recruits, screens, and trains volunteer advocates to work in the court system to represent the best interest of children in CHINS court proceedings.

The Cincinnati Reds are hitting it out of the park!

They've donated your choice of 2 Terrace Line or 4 View Line tickets to the 2026 Adult Prom "Disco Inferno" for auction - raising money to support CASA of Scott County - the Voice of the Child.

CASA's visit Scott County children in need of services every month - in foster homes, in hospitals, in facilities, both locally and as far away as Gary, Indiana. All the children are from our local community but often have to be placed in kinship homes or foster homes that are not local.

You can put the FUN back in FUNdraising and help a great cause at the same time. It's a win-win for you and our community.

It's National Apple Pie Day!

Nothing more American than Apple Pie.

Grant you... the first "recipe" for apple pie was written in the 1300's in Old England, but the United States gained it's independence a few hundred years later, updated and improved on the Brit version, and soon became the apple pie superpower we know and love today.

I mean... we have Johnny Appleseed. Case closed.

Whether you make a family recipe or cook with Marie Callender like I do, take a day and indulge in an American icon - the apple pie.

You know what else is American? Stepping up and fighting for the orphan and the widow. You can carry on that great tradition by volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate - as the voice of the child.
