⚠️ FLAG FOOTBALL GAMES CANCELED – for Thursday September 3rd, 2026 HEAT SAFETY ⚠️

After reviewing the forecast for tonight, Scottsboro Rec*Com has made the decision to cancel all scheduled flag football games.

The decision was made after reviewing heat-index and safety recommendations from recognized health and athletic organizations such as:

🏈 Alabama High School Athletic Association (AHSAA)

🏈 National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS)

👨‍⚕️ American Academy of Pediatrics

🏥 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

We understand that cancellations and rescheduling are inconvenient. However, no game is worth risking the health and safety of a child.

We appreciate our parents, coaches, players, officials, and spectators for understanding and supporting this decision.
