Public Encouraged to Attend Open House Meetings and Provide Their Voice on Final Comprehensive Plan

Open House Meetings June 16 and 17

Residents are encouraged to attend one or both of the scheduled Open House meetings during the week of June 16th.

The meeting on June 16th will be held at the Scottsbluff-Gering Chamber of Commerce building (1517 Broadway) between 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm

The second meeting on June 17th will be held in the Scottsbluff City Hall Council Chambers (2525 Circle Drive) between 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm

The purpose of the Open House meetings is to collect feedback from the public on the final Comprehensive Plan document. All input received will be addressed before adoption of the development of the new Comprehensive Plan. Representatives of the consulting team (Marvin Planning Consultants) will be present to conduct the meetings and answer questions. The comprehensive plan team will also be available after the meetings for a short period to answer questions about the entire planning process.

THE CITY OF GERING LANDFILL WILL BE HAVING A FREE DUMP DAY FOR SCOTTSBLUFF RESIDENTS. Free landfill day is Saturday April 18, 2026 from 8:00 am to 12:00 Noon at the City of Gering landfill.
