Scott AFB Firefighters’ Ball – A Night to Remember

Last night, we held the first Firefighters’ Ball at Scott AFB in recent memory, and it was nothing short of incredible!

From recognizing our proud heritage to celebrating the people who make this profession what it is, the evening was filled with camaraderie, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

Special thanks to:
- Lt Col Leslie S. Roderick, our Fire Marshal and keynote speaker, for his powerful words and continued support.

- SSgt Kitchen, for leading the charge behind the scenes and bringing this vision to life.

- And to everyone who played a part in making the night a huge success, your efforts did not go unnoticed.

Special thanks to the Gary Sinise Foundation for generously sponsoring the catering, providing a free meal to our guests. Their support made our event possible. We deeply appreciate their commitment to veterans and first responders.

Judging by the energy in the room, the smiles on faces, and the memories we created, we can confidently say: this will not be the last.

Over the past two weeks, our department had the honor of hosting an EMT Instructor Course that brought together firefighters from across the Air Force.

This hands-on and classroom-integrated training focused on preparing the next generation of instructors to teach life-saving skills with confidence, clarity, and credibility. From patient handling scenarios to curriculum development, these future trainers rose to the challenge.

A huge thank you to the cadre of instructors and facilitators who made this course possible. Your knowledge, mentorship, and commitment to excellence ensure our Airmen are ready, on duty and in the classroom.
