CERT educates individuals about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, first aid, and disaster medical operations. This is a community page that promotes public service and it is dedicated to our volunteers that serve on the SNPD Community Emergency Response Team known as "CERT".

Dear Volunteers: I am getting ready to schedule a sign up class for the CERT program. I want to offer this class before the Christmas parade. I'll stay in touch with the dates, but Christmas is right around the corner!

The CERT class for Scotland Neck on October 20th and 21st has been cancelled due to low enrollment. I will contact everyone very soon with a solution and I will be asking you to think of some people you want on this team.

I will be looking for someone to lead the SNPD CERT Team so I can continue focusing on the PD. Keep this in mind please! It is my hope that SNPD CERT takes off and becomes a strong force in Scotland Neck!!
