Teacher Appreciation Week - Volunteers Needed! May 4-8
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week is almost here (May 4-8), and we’re so excited to celebrate the incredible educators and staff who do so much for our kids every single day. Thanks to this community, we’ve put together a full week of thoughtful events—we truly couldn’t have done it without your support!! Please click the flyer for the full schedule.
A few key ways to participate:
Sunday, May 3 – Chalk the Walk
Kick off the week by filling the school walkways with messages of appreciation, encouragement, and love for our teachers and staff. Join us on the blacktop at 5:00 PM with chalk, your kids, and your creativity. If you can’t make it then, feel free to stop by anytime during the day.
Friday, May 8 – “Shower with Flowers & Sweets”
Please send your child in with a flower or a sweet treat to give to their teachers and staff. We encourage you to recognize not just classroom teachers, but the entire team who supports our kids every day—staff, aides, the nurse, custodians, and more.
Volunteer – Friday, May 8 (Extra Teacher Break)
This is a new and exciting element of our week - cover a recess shift to give our teachers a much-deserved extra prep period! We’re counting on parent volunteers to make this possible. Please take a moment to sign up for a specific recess time slot in the link below. Coverage across all periods is what allows every teacher to get a meaningful break.
Time slots are short and manageable, and even one slot makes a real impact. If you’re available, we encourage you to grab a spot early before they fill.
