Heads up, teens! 📢

We’re switching to a new library catalog system next week (April 27–30), so things will look a little different for a few days. Check out our video for all the details!

Here’s what you need to know:
• Bring your library card with you — we won’t be able to look up accounts
• You can hang out in the Teen Room and use Wi-Fi 😊
• Computers and printers will NOT be available
• You can return books, but they won’t be checked in until April 30
• Download any Libby books before April 27 so you can keep listening
• Holds will be unavailable during this time

Thanks for your patience while we make this upgrade! 💻✨

We're getting very excited about the new catalog! The entire OCLN is migrating to a new catalog called Aspen, bringing with it a number of enhancements. In order for the transition to happen, we will have reduced services between April 27th to the 30th. Big things to know: we will not be able to search the catalog or place holds, but you will be able to check out items provided you have your library card ready. Please follow this link and read all about what's available and what's not during that time period! https://www.scituatema.gov/.../pages/new-catalog-information

Join us this Thursday evening for another great presentation with college consultant Gail McNiece.

Building a strong college application involves more than just grades and test scores. Smaller details—like demonstrating interest, asking thoughtful questions, staying on top of deadlines, and understanding how admissions decisions work—can all make a meaningful difference.

When these pieces come together, they form something bigger: a thoughtful application strategy. In this session, Gail will walk through the small but strategic steps that can help students stand out in the admissions process.

This is our final college planning talk of the spring, so we hope students and families can join us for this valuable conversation!
