Thanks to members of the Schodack Landing Fire Company for their bravery and dedication to protecting their community and Rensselaer County.
Schodack Landing came together for an installation banquet on Saturday, January 24, and to also recognize members for valued and long service. Schodack Landing joined with Schodack Valley Fire Company to pack the Elks Club in East Greenbush for the big event.
A county commendation was presented by County Executive Steve McLaughlin to Chief Brian Ferreira, President Paul MacPhail and members recognizing and thanking the company for outstanding service.
Schodack Landing Fire is always there when help is needed and we wish members all the best for a successful and productive 2026!

Thank you to everyone that attended our 70 Year Anniversary Event, we appreciate everyone for coming out to support and celebrate with us.

Also special thanks to Scarlett Fever for playing such great music, thanks to Stockport Volunteer Fire Company #1 for cooking, and also thanks to Castleton Fire Department, Castleton Volunteer Ambulance, Schodack Valley Fire Company, Coeymans Fire Company #1 and, Stuyvesant Fire Company #1 for being our mutual aid standby during our event and thank you to Young Explosives Corporation for the amazing fireworks!

We had a such a great time putting this event together and spending it with all of you, it would not have been possible, if it weren't for everyone involved!!!

It is with deep regret, that we mourn the passing of one of our Charter Members of our Ladies Auxiliary: Marjorie Johnson (102)

Marjorie will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her deep faith, and her lifelong devotion to family, friends, and community. Her life was a blessing, and her memory will be cherished forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Marge's family from 12:00-2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at the Castleton Funeral Home, 59 Seaman Ave., Castleton, N.Y. 12033.

A funeral service will take place at the conclusion of the visitation period, at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Schodack Landing Cemetery, Route 9J Schodack Landing, N.Y.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made in Marge's memory to the Schodack Landing Fire Department, P.O. Box 16. Schodack Landing, N.Y. 12156.
