🌟Let's recap last night's City Council Meeting!🌟

Council presented proclamations recognizing Human Resources Professionals Day on September 26, 2026, National Manufacturing Day on October 2, 2026, and Fire Prevention Week from October 4-10, 2026, along with two month-long observances for October 2026: National Community Planning Month and Code Enforcement and Sanitarian Appreciation Month!

Last night Council also approved the 2026-27 Fiscal Year Budget as well as a new Tax Rate. Stay tuned for our budget highlights post to learn more about what Council approved!📊

Today is National Voter Registration Day!🗳️

In recognition of National Voter Registration Day, The City of Schertz encourages residents to check their voter registration status and get ready for the upcoming November General Election. Schertz voters will elect City Council Places 3, 4, and 5.

🗓️The deadline to register to vote will be October 5, 2026.

If you are curious about what new programs, services, or projects the City will be working on next fiscal year, we invite you to attend our last session for the budget season that will go over our budget process.

🗓️Tuesday, September 15 at the City Council Meeting at 6:00 p.m. at the Council Chambers. (This meeting will also include the vote and adoption of the budget and tax rate.)
