Student voices will take center stage at tomorrow’s Board of Trustees meeting!

Jayden Baker, a senior from Byron P. Steele II High School, and Hope Zuniga, a senior from Samuel Clemens High School, will serve as Student Board Representatives.

The meeting will also begin with Dobie Junior High eighth graders Eden Stinson and Christopher Szczepaniak leading the pledges.

We are proud of these students for representing their schools and sharing their voices with our Board and community! ⭐

SCUC ISD was proudly represented at The Chamber’s State of Education Luncheon!

Superintendent Paige Meloni shared the great work happening across our district, from CTE and advanced academics to fine arts and athletics. Cheerleaders and mascots from Clemens and Steele welcomed guests, while culinary arts students from both campuses worked together to provide lunch.

The Chamber also awarded $15,000 raised through Chamber Bowl and local business donations. The funds will be shared by the DECA programs at Clemens and Steele.

Twenty-five years later, we remember.

This morning, Byron P. Steele II High School, along with several other SCUC ISD campuses, held a September 11 remembrance ceremony to honor the lives lost and the courage of those who answered the call to serve.

For a generation born after that day, these moments help carry forward the stories, sacrifices and enduring importance of caring for one another.

All schools and district offices will be closed Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day.

We hope our students, staff and families enjoy a safe and relaxing holiday. Classes and regular district operations will resume Tuesday, September 8.

This is how belonging begins! 💙 We love seeing Cibolo Valley Elementary create meaningful connections and make every new student feel welcomed, heard and at home in SCUC ISD.

New Kids on the Block Lunch Bunch!

This week, our counselor, Mr. Rosas, and principal, Dr. Dockery, have been meeting with students who are new to Cibolo Valley Elementary across all grade levels for our New Kids on the Block Lunch Bunch!

We’ve shared a meal, talked about our old schools, what we miss about them, what we’re enjoying about CVE, and what it feels like to be the “new kid.” Most importantly, we’ve had a chance to laugh, listen, make connections, and get to know one another.

Opportunities like this matter. Starting at a new school can bring excitement, but it can also bring uncertainty. Creating intentional opportunities for students to be heard, build relationships, and feel like they belong helps turn a new school into their school.

At CVE, we want every student to know: You belong here. We’re glad you’re here. And we’re excited to have you as part of CVE!
