Hello all,
We are reaching out because we are in desperate need of help with the club. We don't want to shut the group down, however with other commitments and lack of time, many officers had to step down and I'm afraid, as President, I will be as well. In order for us to keep the group going we need people to step up to a volunteer. Please if you're interested, have time to keep this vital group going contact us.
Thank you

We are deeply disturbed by the recent reports regarding racist and sexually inappropriate comments made by a group of individuals associated with the Young Republicans. Such behavior is unacceptable and stands in direct opposition to the values we uphold.
Our club is founded on respect, empowerment, and the belief that every woman deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported. We stand united against all forms of hate, discrimination, and harassment.
Please know that we take this matter seriously. We are committed to fostering an environment where every member feels protected and heard. If any member feels uncomfortable or needs support, we encourage you to reach out — we are here for one another.
Together, we will continue to lead with strength, compassion, and integrity.

We need to stand up and fight for girl and women’s right!

We need to stand up and fight for girl and women’s right!

Before bed last night, my young daughters asked if they could make signs for today. To them, the issue is simple: allowing boys to compete in girls’ sports is unsafe.

Hearing a few loud local voices claim we don’t understand the law is both comical and troubling. It seems they are the ones who don’t get it—and in doing so, they’re putting our girls and our school district at risk.

Here are the facts:

1. NYSED’s policy violates Title IX.
2. School districts cannot pick and choose which laws they follow.
3. Ignoring federal law puts districts at serious risk of losing federal funding.
4. At a time when New York public schools are already facing major state aid shortfalls, no district can afford to lose additional funding. Cuts mean reductions to programs like arts, music, and athletics—and staff layoffs.
5. The board’s job isn’t to play politics. It’s to safeguard the financial and operational health of the district.
6. This issue isn’t about intolerance—it’s about fairness and safety for girls.
7. Polling shows the vast majority of people believe girls' sports should be for girls only.

We hope SSCSD takes this seriously and acts accordingly.

Sad day for women and girls rights.

Senate Democrats on Monday blocked a GOP-led bill that would ban transgender athletes from women’s and girls’ sports at federally funded schools and educational institutions.
