IMPORTANT NOTICE: THE PARKING LOT AT 375 BROADWAY IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION

National Grid Former MGP Remediation Project * Reduced Parking Capacity * Safety Reminder

As many of our tenants, community partners, neighbors, and vendors already know, the north lot that services our administrative offices at 375 Broadway will be closed on December 1, 2025 and is scheduled to reopen on December 1, 2026 during National Gird’s MGP Remediation Project. This project is being completed in conjunction with National Grid’s partners, New York State’s Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), the City of Schenectady, and Schenectady Metroplex. During this time, Schenectady Municipal Housing Authority (SMHA) will remain open for business using our same entrances, but alternative parking will need to be used to access our building.

Effective Immediately:
• SMHA Staff have been provided alternative parking starting December 1st.
• Visitors of SMHA (this includes our tenants, landlords, vendors, and future applicants) will have parking available in the south lot of the 375 Broadway high-rise, as well as on-street parking. Be advised, on-street parking is subject to city of Schenectady parking times and fees.
• Tenants of 375 Broadway who have common and consistent visitors, should inform SMHA staff- as parking in the south lot is limited to SMHA registered residents ONLY.

We understand that these parking adjustments will be inconvenient for everyone. The patience, understanding, and focus on keeping our staff, tenants, and visitors safe during this time is appreciated.

Any concerns or questions can be shared by calling our 24-7 Maintenance Hotline at 518-372-5896.
