Charles Mound will be open for visitors this coming weekend, February 14th and 15th. Just a reminder that the entrance is located at 688 W. Charles Mound Rd. Please come during daylight hours as it gets very dark here at night. As of right now the beginning of the trail is still covered in snow with some deep drifts as well. Beyond this the rest of the trail is not bad. Please keep in mind that depending on how things melt this week there may still be some snow left to walk through. Safe travels to those planning a visit!

This weekend, September 6th and 7th, are the last open days for 2025. The weather will be in the 60's so it's perfect for an "almost fall" walk outside. We hope that you are able to make it to Charles Mound and enjoy the scenic farmland all around us. Thank you to all of the visitors that have come so far for being respectful of the property along the way! We appreciate all of you! Just a reminder that this weekend, August 2nd and 3rd, is an open weekend for Charles Mound. The entrance is located at 688 W. Charles Mound Rd. Consider bringing some bug spray/vanilla spray because the summer gnats can be annoying. There is also a chance of rain in the forecast so check the weather so you can be prepared if needed.
