The Interns were home from school over the weekend and they really wanted to start promoting the Christmas Parade. But since the parade is 40 days away, they decided to focus on all of the upcoming activities that begin later this week and continue through the end of the month. So the interns are home from school for the Labor Day holiday weekend when they got a tip about a sale on backpacks at a local retail store.

On their second trip to stock up for next year's End of Summer Celebration, a customer asked them why they were buying so many backpacks. They explained that the backpacks are given away in the Kid's Zone at the End of Summer Celebration as part of a game where you pick a lollipop and if the lollipop stick is marked you win one of the backpacks.

While they were at the register paying for the backpacks that same customer came up to them and handed them a $20.00 bill and said every kid deserves a backpack I hope this helps.

You cannot be anything but humbled when a complete stranger appreciates and supports your efforts to make our community a better place to live.
