SAFPD has issued a BURN BAN effective until March 4th, at which time the ban may be lifted or extended based on conditions.
The district has put signs out around the village limits of Saybrook and Arrowsmith, if these signs are still up, the burn ban is still in place. This will be standard practice going forward to help spread awareness of burn restrictions for residents that may not use Facebook.
Thank you for your cooperation and helping maintain the safety of yourself, your neighbors and the members of the fire department.
High fire danger is expected tomorrow. This is due to low relative humidity values, strong SW winds, well above average temps and severe drought.
Avoid all burning and please be mindful when disposing cigarette butts. High fire danger means fires can spread uncontrollably quickly.
