As of midnight tonight, the Saxtons River Volunteer Fire Department will formally cease operations, marking the end of over 50 years of community-driven emergency response.
We pay tribute to our volunteers, who have demonstrated remarkable dedication to ensuring our village's safety.
We also acknowledge the invaluable support of our community. While the department's consolidation may result in changes, we are optimistic that the new entity will provide the best services, leveraging our experience and commitment.

📻 Parade Channel (Public Safety): Keene Mutual Aid TAC-2 (Subject to change based on system status)
🔇 Please Note: This is a silent parade. We kindly request all departments to limit the use of sirens and horns during the event to maintain a welcoming and sensory-friendly environment for all attendees.

This morning, our department was dispatched for a possible structure fire. Our first engine arrived on scene within 7 minutes of the initial dispatch.

We were proud to work alongside our mutual aid partners, including the Rockingham Volunteer Fire Department, Bellows Falls Fire Department, Westminster Fire & Rescue and Golden Cross Ambulance. Thanks to the swift response, professionalism, and coordinated efforts of all personnel on scene, the incident was brought under control efficiently. Crews cleared the scene and were back in service within 1 hour and 7 minutes.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all agencies who provided coverage and support during this response. These moments highlight the strength of regional partnerships and the unwavering dedication of emergency services personnel who step up whenever the call comes in.
