Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Put simply, girls will Discover, Connect and Take Action.

Girl Scoutsโ€™ founder, Juliette Gordon Low, believed in the power of every girl. With this mission in mind, she established the first ever Girl Scout troop on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, GA. Every year since, we've made her vision a reality by helping build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place! As the preeminent leadership organization for girls, Girl Scouts will introduce your daughter to inspiring role models, offer unique skill-building opportunities in a safe environment and set the stage for lifelong friendships. In addition to developing skills areas like financial literacy, healthy living, STEM, environmental stewardship and global citizenship, girls have the opportunity to serve their local community. For more information, feel free to visit our website at gshg.org, message us via Facebook or follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest! Ready to change the lives of girls in your area? Look out! If your Girl Scout is moving to the next grade level, September 30 is the last day to complete and submit her Highest Awards work. After September 30, she will no longer be eligible for that award because her Girl Scout grade level officially changes at the beginning of the new membership year on October 1.

โ€‹All Highest Awards paperwork should be submitted online using the links below and also in 5 on Friday. ๐Ÿ˜‰

We know how much time, effort, and heart Girl Scouts put into these projects, and we want to make sure they get the recognition they deserve. ๐Ÿ’šโœจ

Taking pause with our sisters at Girl Scouts of Greater New York, and across the world, today. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Twenty-five years later, we pause to remember September 11, 2001.

We honor the lives lost, the survivors, the first responders, the families, and all those whose lives were forever changed by the events of that day.

As time passes, remembering becomes even more important. By listening to and sharing the stories of those who experienced September 11, we can help ensure their experiences are not forgotten and that future generations understand this moment in history and the lives it touched.

From September 15โ€“26, Girl Scouts can visit the 9/11 Memorial & Museum at a discounted rate and receive a commemorative patch. Patches are limited and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. https://bit.ly/49qqKBk
