Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia

Girl Scouts of Historic Georgia Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Put simply, girls will Discover, Connect and Take Action.

Girl Scouts’ founder, Juliette Gordon Low, believed in the power of every girl. With this mission in mind, she established the first ever Girl Scout troop on March 12, 1912, in Savannah, GA. Every year since, we've made her vision a reality by helping build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place! As the preeminent leadership organization for girls, Girl Scou

ts will introduce your daughter to inspiring role models, offer unique skill-building opportunities in a safe environment and set the stage for lifelong friendships. In addition to developing skills areas like financial literacy, healthy living, STEM, environmental stewardship and global citizenship, girls have the opportunity to serve their local community. In April, Troop 40489 hosted a Financial Literacy Lunch and Learn for the Ashburn community and earned their Financial Literacy Badges in the process too! The event had engaging workshops led by three expert presenters covering topics like how to boost your credit, smart ways to save money, and steps to becoming a homeowner.

Great job earning and learning Troop 40489! Looks like time well spent! ✨
