Looking to get away this Friday? Join MAC Director Chris Lajewski on Nov. 11 (Veteran's Day) from 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. for a family friendly, 1-mile stroll through the MAC forests and grasslands to learn the basics of birding. Birdwatching is an enjoyable and relaxing activity for people ages 3 to 103. But, to know how to identify birds and where to find them takes skill, patience and experience. Binoculars and bird guides will be provided to help you begin or continue your journey. Fee: $4/child; $6/adult, $20/family, Free for Friends of the Montezuma Wetlands Complex. They Hayride will be today October 31st from 5-9. Beginning at the Fire Hall.. stop in and enjoy some cider and donuts while you wait for the ride. We estimate the rides will go out about every half hour, with a stop along the way for a haunted tour and hot dogs on Main St... be sure to Thank the hosts!!! Happy Halloween!!

Thank you to everyone who came out to the fire hall today! Thank you to the students National Honor Society who helped out even though we couldn't have the hay ride, and to Amy Bullard and each member of the Board who helped make the day a success. We are sorry the weather made it so the hay ride was not able to go on, but we hope to have a ride on Halloween. We will share more info this week to confirm if this will happen and provide details.

Good morning Savannah!!! Because of the rain the plans have changed a little for the day, BUT... we are still going to be at the fire hall serving up free hot dogs, apples, cider and hot chocolate! The bake sale is still on! Free books and totes for the kids and a drawing for all kids who wear a costume. There will be a few games. If the weather permits a short wagon ride will still go out, so we hope to still see you today! I will share any updates if anything changes. See you between 2-6 today!! UPDATE: the hayride has been cancelled, the rain isn't letting up. But please still stop by.
