The 200 Club honors the sacrifice of Sgt. Robert Crapse who served 13 years with the Bryan County Sheriff’s Office until his End of Watch on June 15, 2012.
A lifelong Bryan County resident and graduate of Bryan County High School, Sgt. Crapse dedicated his career to the Bryan County Sheriff's Office, beginning as a jailer and rising to become a respected member of the K-9 and Traffic Enforcement Units. He was known throughout the community for his work with his K-9 partner, Seppe, and for the demonstrations he conducted in local schools, helping build trust and positive relationships with young people.
Beyond the badge, Sgt. Crapse was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. He loved fishing, hunting, cheering for the Georgia Bulldogs, and cooking for his children. Those who knew him remember his dedication, his servant's heart, and the pride he took in both his family and his profession.
Sgt. Crapse was serving his community in the line of duty when a wrong-way driver struck his patrol vehicle on Interstate 95. He is survived by his wife, Ashli, and three young children, who were the center of his world.
