Today, members of Chatham County Fire joined firefighters and first responders from departments across the Southeast for the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Each step taken in remembrance of the 343 FDNY firefighters and all those who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

Different departments. Different patches. One fire service. One promise: We will never forget.

We climb because they climbed.
We remember because their sacrifice must never fade.
And we carry their legacy with us every time the tones drop and we answer the call.

The class is a county specific Prehospital Trauma Life Support class focusing on potential incidents and trauma related injuries our crews are likely to encounter here in our county. Making them more capable and better equipped to help the community.
