Gretchen Ernest for District Two Gretchen Ernest Running for District 2 Alderman, Savannah A resident of Savannah since 1998, Ms. Ms.

Ernest has served as President of the Historic Victorian Neighborhood Association and is a current member of the Beach Institute Neighborhood Association. She is on the City’s Cultural Affairs Commission, is a founding board member of what is now the Savannah Philharmonic Orchestra, was the Chairman of the Board of the Savannah Philharmonic Chorus, and was the Secretary of the Savannah Friends of

Music. She earned a bachelor of arts and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Penn State University. Ernest has wide ranging professional experience that includes owning and operating a successful retail store in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, working with a private software firm in which she developed, designed, and implemented computerized accounting and construction tracking software systems, and on-site construction contract administration. She is now focused on continuing her community involvement by serving the citizens of Savannah as Alderman from the 2nd District.
