Last week we had 3 school events. 2 at North Andrew and 1 in Maryville. Both back to school nights went exceptionally well! We met some new faces and had several returning customers. The trailer was giving us issues during the NA Jamboree which unfortunately led to us packing up for the night.

Now, for this week! We will be at Andrew County Fair Grounds for Live Like Landon memorial bull-ride.

We hope to see y’all there for a great event that honors a young man lost way too soon. 🍧

Sheriff Grant Gillett and the Andrew County Sheriff's Office are proud to recognize Civilian Jailer Hunter Cardwell for being honored by the Northwest Missouri Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3 with the Heroic Actions Award.
Hunter received this prestigious recognition during the Lodge's annual awards ceremony on July 18, 2026, for his heroic actions on October 14, 2025, which went above and beyond the call of duty.
Hunter's professionalism, courage, and commitment to serving others reflect the highest standards of the Andrew County Sheriff's Office. His actions during a critical incident demonstrated exceptional character and a willingness to put the safety and well-being of others first.
Please join us in congratulating Hunter on this well-deserved honor. We are grateful to have dedicated individuals like him serving our community, and we thank the Northwest Missouri Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3 for recognizing his outstanding service.

Another complex forecast today as morning showers and thunderstorms continue to alter the highly uncertain environment. Much of this uncertainty falls on clouds clearing out and warm air building in through the day leading to destabilization later today. Storms are expected to develop during the afternoon and evening hours; however, some flexibilities remain on when and where. Forecast guidance has been quite variable, but generally suggests initiation during the early afternoon in far NE KS/NW MO expanding as the system moves eastward through the evening. There is a chance that initiation will occur slightly north or south which may significantly affect the short term outlook. Storm mode (discrete supercells vs linear clusters) also remains uncertain with both modes or a transition from one to the other being most likely. The Storm Prediction Center has placed much of the region within a Slight Rick (Level 2 of 5) with all severe hazards possible including damaging winds, heavy rainfall, hail, and tornadoes. With the uncertainty, close monitoring of the environment and acute forecast updates will be required. Please have multiple ways to received weather forecast and warning information.

Strong to severe storms will be possible late tonight into early Thursday morning, primarily across NW Missouri and NE Kansas. Damaging wind gusts will be the primary severe hazard. Locally moderate to heavy rainfall leading to flash flooding will also be possible.

Strong to severe storms will be possible again on Thursday afternoon into Thursday night across most of the region. Locally moderate to heavy rainfall will also be possible.

Strong to severe storms may be possible yet again on Friday, primarily south of the Interstate 70 corridor.
