Governor Pritzker is celebrating another credit rating upgrade and an upgrade is certainly better than a downgrade.

But here’s the part you probably won’t see in the victory lap: even after the upgrade, Illinois still has the lowest Moody’s credit rating in the nation.

And while our neighboring states are growing, Illinois continues to struggle.

Since 2018, Illinois has lost a net 168,000 residents and ranks 48th out of 50 states in population growth. Meanwhile, the rest of the Midwest GREW by 2.1%.

A credit upgrade is something, but it doesn’t erase the bigger warning signs.

Illinois families are still dealing with high taxes, affordability concerns, and people continuing to leave for other states.

We shouldn't be satisfied with moving up from the bottom. Our goal should be making Illinois a place people want to move TO not FROM.

That means a more affordable, safe, and prosperous Illinois.

It was an honor to play a small part in recognizing the Schultz/Miller family for their incredible legacy in Illinois agriculture!

Four generations of women in production agriculture. Their impact reaches far beyond the farm, with leadership in livestock production, education, nutrition, banking, genetics, agritourism, entrepreneurship, and their communities.

The Schultz/Miller women are incredibly deserving of the "Legacy Farm Family Award", not only for what they have accomplished, but for the path they continue to pave for the next generation of women in agriculture.

Congratulations to the entire Schultz/Miller family! Your legacy is an inspiration, and I know the best is yet to come. 🌾

Four generations of Schultz/Miller women were recognized for their commitment to the ag industry.

ICYMI: A federal judge has temporarily blocked parts of Illinois’ new assisted su***de law from being enforced against certain doctors and faith-based health care providers.

Doctors and health care providers who have dedicated their lives to healing and caring for patients should never be forced by the State of Illinois to participate in something that violates their deeply held beliefs and conscience.

This court order is temporary and limited to the plaintiffs in the case, but it underscores serious concerns that were raised when this legislation was debated.

At the end of life, Illinois should be focused on compassionate care, dignity, support for families, and protecting our most vulnerable... not forcing medical professionals to compromise their conscience.

What a GREAT day at the Illinois State Fair celebrating Republican Day! 🇺🇸🐘

Great weather, a great crowd, great food, and even better fellowship with Republicans from across Illinois.

We know what we’re up against. The Democrats have the money. They drew the map. But they don’t own the voters.

And voters across Illinois are ready for something different... more balance, more accountability, and a government that works for the people who pay for it.

Now the work begins. Let’s go win in November! 🇺🇸

One of the best parts of being your State Representative is being there to help when needed and getting out across the 89th District to visit our small businesses, local attractions, and the people who make our communities special.

There’s a lot to see, do, shop, eat, and enjoy right here at home. Supporting local means supporting our neighbors, our jobs, and the communities we’re proud to call home!

A few stops along the way lately… and plenty more to come! 🇺🇸

🏃‍♀️ Fun day at the Lena 5K!

What a great community event and even better knowing this year’s local charity partner is the Lena Fire Department, serving Lena and the surrounding communities since 1869! 🚒

A special shoutout to my mother-in-law, Janet, who took 3rd place in her bracket! 🥉👏 Way to go, Janet!

Thanks to everyone who organized, volunteered, participated, and came out to support our local first responders. This is what community is all about! ❤️

Running around the 89th! 🚗💨

This week, I held traveling office hours in Stockton, Scales Mound, Apple River, Polo, Mt. Morris, and Forreston... bringing our office directly to the communities we serve.

I also had a great lunch meeting with area mayors and administrators to talk about what’s happening in their communities, the challenges they’re facing, and how we can work together to get things done.

The best part of the job is being out in the district, listening and staying connected. Thanks to everyone who stopped by, shared an idea, asked a question, or just said hello!
