Come explore beautiful O-kun-de-kun Falls for this Friday's plant walk! The flowing water and gentle slopes of the Baltimore River corridor create a stable, well-drained environment that's enjoyed by a range of plant relatives including datgaagminagaawanzh (thimbleberry), among others. If you've never been, this is a great time to enjoy this beautiful area. The trail is mainly flat and 1.5mi to the falls (3mi round trip). Bring some water! Carpools leave from the Boys and Girl's Club.

Still hoping to grab some ininiwanzh (milkweed) shoots? Brian will be leading a walk tomorrow (Tues, 9th) at the Old Village, and is happy to talk with any interested Tribal members about our plant relatives at any time. Don't be shy to reach out! (906) 287-1398

☀️ Move Into Summer ☀️

June is a great time to reconnect with traditional activities that keep our bodies moving and our spirits strong. Whether you’re fishing, walking trails, dancing at powwows, gathering medicines, or spending time on the water, every step supports wellness. 🌊🌲

Physical activity helps strengthen both body and mind while keeping us connected to culture, community, and the land.
