911 telephone services have been restored and dispatchers across the state are handling calls as they normally would. Thank-you for your patience and Thank-You to those who shared this information on the social media platforms. This assists us greatly with getting notifications out in a timely manner.

*****UPDATE****

911 Services are coming back on-line. We will continue to monitor the situation and will make a final post when we are confident that all is back to normal operations. If you have an emergency, still call 911 to begin with. It does appear that it is working. In the event that you can't get through, text your emergency to 911. We will update in the near future with additional.

Chippewa County is currently experiencing difficulties with our 911 lines. At this time this outage is being experienced across the State of Michigan. Some areas are effected differently at this time. Some land lines are still working, however cell phones seem to be down. Texty option is still online. You can text your emergency to 911 and our dispatchers will dispatch the appropriate resources to your location. The phone company involved is currently working on the issue and we will advise as soon as we have an update.
