Another day to recognize the amazing community members we serve:

Last night a citizen called in that their dog ran off because of fireworks that went off. We did not locate the dog but the dog did return on its own this morning unharmed! That is always a win.

This individual who called in about her dog expressed how thankful she was with how quickly the officer responded and the effort to search for her dog. She arrived at the police department with a thing of goodies to show her appreciation.

I am choosing to highlight this because it shows that we really do show up for every single thing. We are always here and happy to help. We do so much more than people realize. At the end of the day we show up everyday to make a difference in our communities, help those in need, and hopefully leave a positive impact on those we serve.

Thank you to another amazing citizen of our community for dropping this off and being so kind!

We appreciate you all and the support you give to our Police Department, it truly does make such a difference.

Good morning, everyone.

We would like to remind you that the Rapids River Days Parade is tonight. Which means that there will be roads blocked off and you will not be able to access certain areas. Please be respectful of the road closures as it is for the safety of everyone. We know it can be inconvenient for your travels but there are plenty of other routes you can take! Please work with us to make the parade as safe and fun as possible. The parade starts around 6pm but the roads will be closed before that to ensure that all involved in the parade can get through the route safely.

We have had several questions regarding the e-bikes. Please see the informational flyer below for more information about them.

It is important to follow the laws for the safety of everyone. Please educate your kids and make sure they are following all the laws when riding around.

Keep in mind while you’re on these bikes you also have to follow all traffic laws.
