⚠Energy Conservation Request⚠

MISO, the regional grid operator, has issued an Energy Emergency Alert (EEA) Level 2 due to heat and high electricity demand across the region.

We’re asking customers to help by conserving energy if possible.
Simple actions can make a difference:
- Raise your thermostat a few degrees.
- Delay using large appliances like washers, dryers, and dishwashers.
- Turn off lights and electronics you’re not in use.
- Close blinds or curtains to help keep your home cooler.

These small steps help reduce demand on the grid and support reliable service for everyone during this period.

We appreciate our community working together, and we’ll continue to monitor conditions closely and update you as needed.

The Sauk Centre Public Utilities needs its customers to CONSERVE WATER. This has now moved to a REQUIREMENT and not an option. Pumps are being used at an amount not capable of sustaining. Residents will no longer be able to irrigate their lawns daily or even every other day. Please refrain from outside water use; such as sprinkler activities and vehicle washing. This is in effect until further notice.

Sauk Centre Public Utilities is Issuing a Water Reduction Notice
Excessive use of water is impacting our system. The Sauk Centre Public Utilities is asking customers to please conserve water.
The most effective way to sustain our water supply is to limit nonessential uses such as watering lawns and washing vehicles. SCPUC recommends limiting outdoor water use to twice a week. If water consumption doesn’t decrease, we will be forced to implement a watering ban.

Sauk Centre Public Utilities is looking for a Billing/Receivable Clerk. This position will be full-time (40 hr. week). 7:30am-4:30pm. Computer skills, general bookkeeping, and good customer relations are essential. Competitive wages range from $25.89 to $32.36. Wage based on schooling/work experience. Benefit package. The Sauk Centre Public Utilities will be flushing hydrants throughout the week of April 20-24th.
