So this homeowner who willingly bought a historic home listed on the National Register of Historic Places has taken his privilege to bulldoze the historic house denying his neighbors and future generations the privilege of having a piece of history. I don’t understand why people who want a new house, buy an old one only to destroy it. Why not buy a new house or build in a neighborhood for new builds? My bet is he will live here for awhile and then move on and leave his destruction behind. SMH

Here is an update on the demolition status of a Kirkwood landmark.

I am starting to fear our City and Landmark Commission are not acting in good faith. It’s clear the buyers didn’t do their “due-diligence” which is not the city’s fault. I asked the city for documents last Friday to support the claim that the Landmark commission doesn’t have authority to...
