Happy New Year! The Ruth Reynolds Glunt Nature Preserve reopened after repairs to boardwalks and other flood clean-up. Thank you for everyone's patience while we responded to major tidal flooding from the bomb cyclone (a.k.a. winter storm Elliott) on December 23, 2022. Special thanks to volunteers and donors who assisted the clean-up with generous contributions of time and money. The stewardship of this place depends on our community of supporters.

Warm wishes from the Lighthouse, everyone! Please know that our immediate area experienced major flooding on Friday. High waters and winds brought significant debris. The trail to the lighthouse will remain closed while we tackle the clean up. Thank you for your support and understanding. Meanwhile, stay cozy! Thinking of all of our neighbors who were also impacted.

The Pomeroy Fund for NYS History, a partnership between the William G. Pomeroy Foundation and the Museum Association of New York, awarded an additional $50,000 to 14 history-related organizations to assist with urgent capital needs projects.

“This round helped us see the vast challenges New York’s museums face in the wake of deferred maintenance, limited municipal investment in cultural properties, and the deep financial setbacks incurred through pandemic related revenue reductions,” said Erika Sanger, MANY Executive Director.
