Buffalo Creek Nature Park - Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania Buffalo Creek Nature Park is a 6-acre park between Little Buffalo Creek and the Butler-Freeport Trail.

It's located at 154 Monroe Rd and is one of two Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania properties in Sarver, along with nearby Todd Nature Reserve.

We are excited to have Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and DCNR Bureau of Forestry staff at Buffalo Creek for their PA Invasive Replace-ive event Saturday, May 16 from 9am-12pm at Buffalo Creek Nature Park.

Learn about planting trees, invasive plants, establishing meadows, riparian buffer plantings and more - PLUS a special visitor from Audubon of Western PA ("who" could it be?).

You do not need to be registered for Invasive Replace-ive Trees in order to attend - all are welcome to come and learn!

Tasty maple! In this 2-hour, adults only program, you will learn a little about the history of sugaring and we’ll talk about the varied ways in which you can use the products – it’s not just all syrup and it’s not just for breakfast. We will have a maple syrup tasting, try some drinks and snacks made with maple syrup and share what’s happening in the maple sugaring industry. Participants must be at least 21 years of age. Trout season is just around the corner!

ASWP has partnered with Trout Unlimited Arrowhead Chapter President Chad Hough for a two week class which will cover all topics of Spin Fishing for Trout including casting, equipment selection, and how to spin fish. Each week will include classroom discussion, video presentations, and hands-on activities. Chad will demonstrate how to fish using Little Buffalo Creek, which runs next to Buffalo Creek Nature Park and then participants will have a chance to try their hand at these new techniques during the second session of the class.

This two week class begins on Wednesday, March 4, at Buffalo Creek Nature Park (Sarver) from 6:30-8:30pm! Audubon members are $30/person and nonmembers are $40/person (registration for March 4 includes both sessions of the class).
