We were thrilled to offer four scholarships to our graduating seniors through our new partnership with Sartell-St. Stephen Dollars for Scholars and present them at Senior Awards Night. We’re grateful to collaborate with a trusted program that ensures a fair, thoughtful selection process and helps us expand our impact.

This year’s recipients are:

• Lachlan Reiners – SSEF Community Service Scholarship ($1,500)
• Hayden Lenarz – SSEF Science and Technology Scholarship ($1,500)
• Emalyn Byrd – David and Alice DeZurik Excellence Scholarship ($1,200)
• Paige Francois – David and Alice DeZurik Learning Forward Scholarship ($1,200)

To the seniors in the audience that evening, SSEF Board Chair Josh Sugar shared two lessons that he would give to his younger self:
✦ Younger students in our community are looking at you to see what’s possible – be someone worth watching.
✦ Embrace being a beginner again. You’ve spent 13 years learning how to be a student, and that chapter is coming to a close. Soon you will be a beginner at something new. That’s not a setback; it’s actually the best part. Don’t be afraid of not knowing yet.

To all graduating seniors: we’re cheering you on and wishing you the very best in what comes next!

✨ Scholarship Spotlight ✨

We are grateful to partner with Sartell - St. Stephen Education Foundation (SSEF) to offer four of their scholarships through our Dollars for Scholars program this year!

For over two decades, SSEF has been supporting SHS students through the David & Alice DeZurik Scholarships, awarding two $1,200 scholarships annually since 2000. Since 2005, SSEF has also awarded the Science & Technology Scholarship ($1,500) and the Community Service Scholarship ($1,500).

These scholarships have made a tremendous impact on our Sartell-St. Stephen students. Thank you, SSEF, for your continued investment in our students and community!

Way to go, Sartell Robotics! It's amazing to see the growth of this program. Keep it going!

Our Robotics team competed in the Northern Lights Regional at Duluth’s DECC, the event center held both the Northern Lights Regional, along with the Lake Superior Regional. 6045 started out very well in their matches, reaching Rank 4 at the end of qualification matches out of 42 teams attending, with a record of 9-2-0. Their alliance competed until they were defeated by Alliance #8 in Match 10 of the semifinals.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see these young learners are taking off!

Our first graders thoroughly enjoyed exploring astronomy through engaging, hands-on activities that brought their learning to life! 🚀👨‍🚀🔭

Their teacher shared, "We are deeply grateful to the Sartell-St. Stephen Education Foundation (SSEF) and to the generous support from our Homecoming Walk-a-Thon, whose contributions made it possible to provide these enriching experiences and keep our students actively engaged in their learning."
