Have views about generative AI like ChatGPT, and the skills needed to use it ethically and effectively (sometimes referred to as: AI literacy)? A SUNY Empire research study is looking for students to interview this Dec. or Jan. (~60 min. interview online via Microsoft Teams) about their views of and use of AI tools. All responses from interviews will be anonymized.

The SUNY Empire library is looking for students to participate in user experience (UX) testing of our website in December.

Sessions will take place virtually on MS Teams for up to 60 minutes. Students will share their screen and show how they would find library resources and services.

If you are--or know of-- a student who might be interested or if you have interns in need of something to do for an hour of their service, please have them fill out the form below. Students of all levels are welcome to participate. The data collected will be used to make student-focused improvements to our library website.

In addition to all of the ways you can work with a librarian--live chat, question form, email, phone, and library consultations via MS Teams--you now also have an option to work with one of your peers on research and other library questions.

Dariana Reyes Herasme, a graduate student here at SUNY Empire, has taken on the role of library peer tutor. She has been working in the library, learning our processes, and responding to reference questions via our Ask a Librarian service.
