Plattsburgh LE bldg now/then. Just down the road from our veterans dormitory.. I took a pic of the old LE building as it appeares today. Compared it with an old pic I found which appears to be guard mount back in the day. I’m thinking in the late 50’s or early 60’s. Wonder if anyone in the old pic is still with us.

We are incredibly proud of our resident U.S. Marine, Rob.

When Rob arrived at the program several months ago, he had nothing. His goals were clear: find work, buy a car, secure better employment, and regain visitation rights with his son.

Fast forward to today—Rob found a job, saved over $5,000, purchased a vehicle, advanced to better work, and is now patiently pursuing visitation rights now that he can afford legal representation.

The bottom line: this program works for those who apply themselves.

Meet Craig - AKA “Cowboy.” Another U.S. Army veterans here at Enlisted For Life. Craig has been with us since March and has evolved into a trusted mentor to all in the program!

Meet Stacey — one of our U.S. Army veterans who joined our program back in May from the great state of North Carolina. This week, Stacey officially earned his associates degree in accounting through Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) — and he ACED it!

When he arrived at our program, he was averaging D’s and F’s. Today, he’s graduating on the Dean’s List with an A average. Stacey will walk the stage at SNHU this weekend to receive his diploma in person, and we’ll be right there cheering him on. We couldn’t be prouder of his hard work, determination, and growth.

What Stacey doesn’t mention is everything he has given to OUR program. He consistently pours into our other veterans here — offering support, encouragement, and humility. He gives far more than he takes.

Stacey is a humble man with a limitless future. And when he completes our program, he’ll leave not only with a strong education and solid savings, but with the confidence and independence he’s worked so hard to build.

We are honored to be part of his journey. He is Enlisted For Life

Enlisted For Life received a call regarding a homelss veteran in Plattsburgh, and within a few hours we welcomed him to his new home for up to the next 6 months! His job from here on out is to work, save, and become independent! He has all of the resources and help to make this happen. Our program isn’t easy, but it’s fair. No handouts here. Hand-ups only.

Built by the U.S. Army in 1893 and later occupied by the U.S. Air Force, the old base headquarters stands as a commanding presence on the U.S. Oval in Plattsburgh, NY. Unfortunately, it has remained vacant and deteriorating since 1996.

Enlisted For Life is now operating at full capacity, and thanks to generous support, the number of veterans we serve continues to grow. Our vision is bold: to purchase, renovate, and revitalize this historic building so we can provide support to more than two hundred veterans in need each year.

Right now, that vision is only a dream—but so was founding Enlisted For Life. And today, we are truly making an impact. With continued dedication and community support, we believe this dream can become a reality

I’m not even sure what to say in this message so
I’ll just say it..

We have an INCREDIBLE Marine Corp veteran in our program that needs help. This veteran has been in family court for a while now and hasn’t seen his son in approximately 2 years. Because he can’t afford representation I am reaching out to the community to find out if anyone knows of a program or a family court attorney that may be able to help out this veteran with representation?

I’ll close by saying that I wouldn’t waste anyone’s time with someone that I didn’t think deserved the help. All he talks about is his son and how much he misses him. I know the feeling becausee I went through years of it when i returned from Afghanistan.
