Yesterday, our board member, Andrea had the opportunity to spend the afternoon on the water with Officers Dixon and Skinner from Sarasota Police Marine Patrol. What a fantastic experience!
Not only was it a beautiful day on Sarasota Bay, but it was also incredibly educational. They learned about marine safety, conservation efforts, and the many ways our Marine Patrol officers work to keep our waterways safe for residents and visitors alike. Of course, there were plenty of laughs along the way as well...Dixon and Skinner make a pretty entertaining team!
Experiences like these provide a unique opportunity to better understand the important work our officers do every day, often behind the scenes and out of the public eye.
