Starting at 5:00 PM tonight, the NCRA Advisory Board will meet to review this year's Nonprofit Mini-Grant applications to decide which organizations and programs will receiving funding for Newtown initiatives.

Past funded programs include Star Lab Summer Camp Program, CareerSource Suncoast CEO Program, SCORE Mentors Build Your Success in Newtown Program, and Sarasota Housing Authority Youth Thrive Summer Camp Program. 💼 🤸🏿‍♀️ ⚽

🤸🏾‍♀️ While Star Lab Summer Camp is officially underway for 2026, we're taking a look back at their 2025 program supported by the NCRA!

With the help of our Non-Profit Mini-Grant program, Star Lab was able to continue offering their free summer camp experience to local children, and in 2025 expanded their program to include 6 STEM-based field trips for campers! 🔬🌿🦕

It was an honor to celebrate Juneteenth with our community this past Saturday at the Newtown Juneteenth Festival! 💚🖤❤️

🎶🌮🎉 From the music to the food, fellowship, and shared sense of community, the festival was a wonderful celebration of freedom, culture, and the enduring spirit of Newtown! We loved connecting with residents, sharing information about NCRA programs and initiatives, and being part of a day that brought so many people together.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth. We look forward to continuing to serve and support the Newtown community year-round!
