Dutch Bros. will be giving back to youth-focused organizations through its Buck for Kids program — and we’re thrilled to be part of this community-wide effort supporting local youth.

💚 September is Big Brothers Big Sisters Month!

And this month, we’re celebrating the incredible difference mentoring makes — because mentorship works.

During the 2025–26 fiscal year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast:

💚 Served over 1,800 youth through professionally supported mentoring relationships.

💚 Nearly 1,900 volunteers contributed an estimated 265,000 hours of service to young people across our 10-county region.

Behind every number is a young person who had someone showing up for them. Someone to listen. Encourage. Believe.

That’s the power of a mentor.

And there are still more young people waiting to be connected with a caring mentor.

At Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, we believe tomorrow’s workforce is sitting in classrooms today.

We’re grateful for the mentors, educators, families, employers and community partners who help young people take those first steps toward their futures.

Peter brings a remarkable combination of entrepreneurial leadership, technology expertise, and a longstanding commitment to mentoring young people.

An entrepreneur, inventor, technology leader and early-stage investor, Peter has built an extensive network throughout Sarasota’s business and innovation community. He currently serves as Board Chair of Bridge Angel Investors and serves in leadership roles with Sarasota Tech, Suncoast Venture Studio and other community organizations.

This interactive capstone experience will help participants build confidence and strengthen their leadership skills through discussion and collaboration.

At Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, we create and support meaningful, one-to-one mentoring relationships between adult volunteers — Bigs — and young people — Littles.

Sometimes mentoring looks like talking about school. Sometimes it’s shooting hoops, exploring a career, reading together or spending time together.

But at the heart of every match is something powerful: a young person knowing someone believes in them.
